The October Testament Hardcover Edition
Ruth Magnusson Davis of Baruch House Publishing, Vancouver Island, Canada, has updated William Tyndale’s New Testament, as it was contained in the Matthew Bible of John Rogers. Rogers first published the Matthew Bible in 1537. Few people know that it formed the basis of the KJV. Ruth plans to update all the ‘Matthew’ scriptures, but has first published the New Testament here. Her approach is not to make a new translation, but to update that which we first received, and thus to strengthen it for today (Revelation 3). She has faithfully kept the style and truth of the original.
The hardcover edition is a limited print run of 200 books, exceptionally beautiful, with sewn binding, a ribbon marker, and marbled endpapers that replicate the endpapers in Ruth’s Matthew Bible.
The hardcover is lighter than the paperback due to the lightweight paper used, and the font size is slightly larger.
Sample scriptures are on Ruth’s website: www.newmatthewbible.org
Only 200 copies of the special edition were printed.
Ruth will answer each request personally. If you wish to proceed with a purchase, she will send invoices through Paypal, or as you wish.
“My goal was not to make a modern bible, but to keep as much of the old as possible while making the language understandable for today.”
